Jon Gruen has leveraged more than twenty-five highly successful years in the defense and aerospace industry to provide innovative solutions for business growth. Jon currently serves as the Chairman and CEO of Fortem Technologies, where he is working to advance airspace awareness and technology.
Previously, Jon was a founding partner of Gothams, a venture capital accelerator program, where he and teams of skilled professionals drew from their expertise across government, military, business, and technology to deliver results for their clients and partners.
Jon served as a Navy SEAL Officer commanding 35 Navy SEALS and 35 personnel in the execution of over 200 combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
At Lockheed Martin, he spent eleven years as a Director of Business Development working with large personal networks of U.S. and foreign Government customers as well as Defense and Aerospace companies of all sizes.
Jon attended the United States Naval Academy and received a Bachelor’s in physics and oceanography. He later attended the University of California Berkeley, where he received his MBA in Entrepreneurial Studies from the Hass School of Business.
